Mental Health Support That Meets You Where You Are
Trauma-informed, neuro-affirming counselling and mental health support, in Swan Hill and via telehealth across Victoria and Australia.
At Mind Over Matters we believe that good mental health support should be accessible regardless of your postcode, your diagnosis, your neurotype, or how long you have been struggling. We bring together professional expertise and lived experience to provide counselling, EMDR, neuro-affirming support, and NDIS services grounded in genuine understanding, not clinical distance.
Our Services
-
Neuro-affirming counselling for people who are diagnosed, self-identify as neurodivergent, or are carers and loved ones of people with ADHD, autism, AuDHD, Tourette’s Disorder, Tic Disorders or PDA. We understand that neurodivergence can come with both genuine strengths and real challenges, and that everyone’s experience is different. We can support you to better understand how your brain works, develop self-acceptance and confidence, and work on the areas that you feel need more attention, understanding or practical support.
-
Individual counselling to support you through whatever is happening in your life. This might involve working through trauma, grief, burnout, stress, identity, relationships, lifestyle changes, ageing, illness, caring responsibilities or neurodivergence. We use evidence-based approaches while keeping the work person-centred and flexible, adapting therapy to you, your circumstances and what you need from the process.
-
Support for anxiety, depression, OCD, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, situational stress, PTSD and other mental health concerns. We also support people who may not have a formal diagnosis but are struggling with their mood, thoughts, emotions or day-to-day functioning. Our approach is practical, individualised and focused on helping you better understand what you’re experiencing and find ways forward.
-
Therapeutic supports and capacity-building mental health support for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Support is tailored to your NDIS goals and may focus on developing emotional regulation, coping strategies, social and communication skills, confidence, independence and everyday functioning. Our approach is person-centred and neuro-affirming, with services available across regional areas and via telehealth.
